I think that we should let the fish out into a stream in mid may so that trout can adapt to the warmer water gradually so that they don’t go into shock from rapid climate change.

You are thinking like a scientist. On the day we release we will bring a bag of ice with us to help regulate temperature in the transportaion tank. Upon the release of the trout we want to be sure the temperature of the tank water is the same at the temperature of the river(Batenkill). If not the trout could go into shock and possibley die.
