TIC (Trout in the Classroom) is in its 3rd year in room 211. We are gearing up to release our fish this Saturday in the Halfway Brook near Hovey’s Pond and the program is comming to a close for the school year. Let me know what you think of the program; what you liked, how could it be improved, etc.

Don’t hold back on your opinion. What did you think of this activity in terms of learning about the different types of severe storms and how they are tracked/predicted/forecasted?

Many students use phones every day. Many students use them in school aginst school policy. Would they be practical in an educational setting? What is your opinion on this idea?

Congratulations !! Our QMS riased $350.00 for the Acid Rain Retirement Fund. Our student council matched the amount the fund raiser made giving us a grand total of $700. With this amount of money this group will now have the power to remove around 3 tons of pollution out of the atmosphere. Currently a ton of pollution goes for a little over $200.00/ ton. If you are interested in who is buying at auction see the following site.

Read the link about the Acid Rain Retirement Fund. As discussed in class we need to think of a feasable way, and I stress feasable (meaning manageable and appropriate) way to raise money for this fund. What a way to contribute to the “Global Community.” This is an excellent opportunity that YOU have to improve our environment. Whatever activity we use to raise money, it will need to be approved by Mr. Silvernell. Think, Think, Think.

OK. Based on popular demand, I am creating a thread on “Jokes.” Obviously they will all be politically correct.
